embodyoga
is
the study of consciousness; how consciousness expresses through
the body, and the body through consciousness.
This
is the study of Yoga at its essence.
embodyoga
is a fluid and evolving system of discovery that
incorporates much of the best of the popular systems of yoga
today with the revolutionary investigation into the inner workings
and relationships of body and mind that has been mapped and
developed through more than 30 years of insight and study by
Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen and the School for Body-Mind
Centering®. www.bodymindcentering.com
Incorporating embodyoga's
innovative
approach to full embodiment, with traditional yogic techniques
and practices we: experience and align inner cellular
movement with the external expression.....
notice and appreciate the grace and wisdom of the body....
align inner cellular movement with the external
expression of movement through space,
that is the form of asana and vinyasa - creating
true flow of body and mind.
come to fully appreciate the grace and wisdom of the
body in movement and in stillness, ideveloping
a depth and beauty in yoga practice that is evident to the eye,
felt profoundly byithe practitioner,
and remains constant when we step off the mat.
come to know ourselves fully, as we are, without need
to alter change or improve;irecognizing
ourselves as glorious, creative expressions of radiating life. |

Our Embodyoga
courses are well-rounded and incorporate all aspects of yoga
study and practice. They are recommended for students and
teachers of all traditions. We honor and explore the agreed
upon principles of alignment that are taught in the major schools
of yoga today. We delve into and discover the intricacies and
beauty of the inner alignment of cells, tissues and body systems.
We learn to incorporate this inner experience with the form
of the yoga postures and movements as we deepen our understanding
of them.
Along with Embodied Anatomy® and Embodied Developmental
Movement®, we use the traditional yogic frameworks of
asana, pranayama, meditation, and the study of chakras, kosas
and elements to fully integrate our sense of self
into a unified whole. All is taught from the perspective of
our actual, direct perception and authentic experience.
Philosophy is presented from an embodied perspective with an
emphasis on Tantra; recognizing the single Unified Source
of all of life and encouraging enjoyment and reverence, for
the fact that we are, at every level, and in all of our intricacies,
an expression of That.
The results of this practice are profound. |
