CONTINUE THE JOURNEY!
Saturate in the deeper dimensions of yoga under the wise and expert guidance of Patty Townsend.

Our 500 hour teacher training program builds on the foundation of the 200 hour program providing an additional 300 hours of advanced study consisting of 16 weekend workshops and directed personal study.

Each weekend of the 500 hour program is rich with experience and information.
You will deepen your personal embodiment in asana, vinyasa, pranayama and meditation, and learn to teach authentically and effectively using EMBODYOGA'S unique whole-body-support templates. Yoga philosophy is woven into the fabric of the program. We study Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Bhagavad Gita, and Kundalini Tantra. The scope and depth of this training profoundly enriches every aspect of life and teaching.

The 16 weekends are divided into 4 modules of 4 weekends each. Each module has a specific focus. The 4 modules are judiciously distributed over a period of one to two years. Between meetings you will continue to explore and teach the presented EMBODYOGA®principles and concepts. This provides ample time to develop a deepening relationship with the material as we go along.

MODULE 1—MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM • YOGA SUTRAS OF PATANJALI
Harmonious whole-body movement encourages a unified sense-of-self and invites us into the experience of wholeness that is the state of yoga. Learn clear principles for healthy support and movement of bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and joints. Experience and begin to teach basic therapeutics for the major joints. Discover sthira sukham asanam —support and ease in asana practice.

MODULE 2 —ORGAN, NEUROENDOCRINE, AND CHAKRA SYSTEMS •
HATHA YOGA PRADIPIKA

Learn to feel the consciousness and intelligence emanating from these systems in yourself and others. Learn to maximize their support in yoga practice and to facilitate healing through these systems utilizing touch, asana, pranayama, and meditation.

MODULE 3—OPTIMAL MOVEMENT DEVELOPMENTAL MOVEMENT AND NEUROLOGICAL INTEGRATION OF BODY-MIND-SPIRIT • KUNDALINI TANTRA
Yoga is a developmental process of growth toward the vision of Unity. In this module we explore the Basic Neurological Patterns that support our development from in utero through the first year of life, and into adulthood. These patterns support our experience of wholeness and connection to Source.  Discovering these patterns in our asana practice we gain a deeper understanding of the yoga form.

MODULE 4—INTEGRATION • BHAGAVAD GITA
Developing the mature art of the teacher. Witnessing, allowing, guiding, timing, and love. Holding the space for transformation. Sequencing for maximum effect. Developing the rhythm and flow of a great yoga class. Learning to trust your vision and your ability to share. Connecting to the stream of the Vastness as your inspiration.

Modules 1—3 may be taken individually or out of order. Completion of Modules 1—3 is required for attendance in Module 4. Yoga teachers with a 200-Hour Certificate from a Nationally Registered Yoga School may apply to this program
